starview 1 box problems

First of all will the SV 1 boxes still work?

Came across 1 for sale but unsure to buy as the box is apparently faulty, it powers up and 0 appears then it keeps rebooting.

Any suggestions on what the cause of this mite be and can it be fixed?

Any help or info much appreciated.

 

internal cap gone causing overheating and rebooting,wont work in irl but may in uk.caps are cheap but need to be soldered in correctly and as this is an old box it is not supported any more but it still works on last firmware.

What do you mean by not supported?

 

no firmware updates,so if anything happens you wont get a fix,lack of support sorry to say.
