STARVIEW 1 CLONE OR REAL PROBLEM READ PLEASE

    Hi
    i have had a starview one for about 4 years now and i need to update with the llatest firmware problem though
    i looked at this website to compare wether my box is real or clone this is my feedback
    i have the 18 vents which is clone
    the smaller box which is clone
    the connections on the back on the wrong side
    so i thought let me xcheck the cpu etc i opened up and it turns out i have a real motherboard but i dont know do i have a real or a fake? thanks

    there is no new updated firmware for that old box.

    the firmware in dec should still work,snce mine does...2.57e i think

    How cum certain channels still go off every other day even with the lattest autotroll firmware? starview 1 box

    If you are in Ireland icemen on n*l, then the channels you are losing are now on nagra 2. The rest of the channels will eventually switch to nagra 2 also.

    na noel im telepest area in uk? channels like sky sports 3 & some of the asian channels go off but can get em back by scanning

    It's just the frequencies drifting that's all, it is not a problem to your particular box it does affect all the rest as well, but a fresh installation will bring them all back, better still just do a manual scan on the Frequency affected and all is well in UK.

    yea that's what i do, so the autoroll don't pick up the new frequencies automatically?

    No that has nothing to do with the scanning of channels. Some boxes do a background scan e.g. Kryptview, Dbox, Dreambox.
