Starview 1

Hi anybody could help me on this something ive not had before. I have not used the starview for somedays as ive been away on hols now then I switched the box on last saturday and nothing worked. I did a factory re set installed it on CW for my region also ive done it on c&w but it makes no difference now ive got these channels come on BICS 1 - 28 breaking up very few channels left working ive just redone install and I have 39 channels this is the lowest I have had no movies etc has anybody any ideas I am thinking of getting a superbox but I thought I would ask on here first Ive had the box more than 2 years thanks Nevillet

 

after you factory reset,power off box for a min then on and autoscan also make sure u have a direct cable feed no splitters and emu to on,some times u might have to do it a few times to get all channels.

 

Thanks cactikid ill try that but what are theses Bics channels

 

Hi done all that 109 chanels now but nothings working will have another go tomorrow

 

have you updated your box lately ie downloaded new firmware,as as far as i'm aware there was key roll in the uk last week.

There was karl was a roll, you are correct - just had another mate - ahh well, That's more than likely his problem and he's jumped the gun.

Hi karijd sorry its took long to get back late in from work. Im on
CryptStar-v1.4-core.400 I have gone through it all again 98 channels 30 of them are BICS not seen theses before? I have the odd channel thats good.s.. ....t 1 & 2 no movies. thanks

 

Take it its a starview 1,is it genuine? 18 vents = clone
25 vents = genuine
13 vents = 1st generation

vents are the slits on the top of the box from top to bottom

left scart = Clone
Right scart= Genuine

 

It has 18 vents scarts are on the left I always thought it was genuine?

Hi I have spent sometime on this box it is a clone took the top off found pics on here Ive flashed it with the CrypStar-v1.4-257 I did have the 400 on before this one.
I have factory set turned it off at the back on again installed on tw got 70 channels done this three times.
I also done it on cw and got 50 channels three times.
Some channels work I can get sports 1 & 3 some of the uk stuff but no movies also I have these BICS Channels scrambled?
I installed with through cable no splitter in line the keys are the latest ones Im still puzzeled why they have gone off as it was ok before we went away Ive had the starview 18 months with no problems.
Is it time for a new box?
