starview 2 and 3

whats the diference between them i have 2 boxes here one is supposed to be 2 and one is supposed to be 3 but there both identically the same as my starview 3 i have but the guy assures me one is 2 and one is a 3!? how can i tell the difference between them. thanks

 

plug them in... connect them up and press menu... then system info what do they both say??

 

the suposed starview 2 says..

the starview 3 says..

THE BOX
API ver:4.51e_E
Boot Version: 7.0

Ok I take it your in Ireland... the first one 6.00e is indees a Sv3
however the other is a starview 2 " THE BOX" according to your data

 

im in manchester in the uk mate.

there my uncle and cousins boxes you see who wanted me to update the firmware. but with them both being identical i wasnt sure if they was both 3?

 

Apologies I lost you there for a while... ok you can update the SV3 Super box(they are the same name).. but not the one with the 451e data as there is no fix out for this as yet!!
dont flash the 2 of them with the same fix as you will fry the other one!!

 

I like the "as yet" bit Des (and i'm not being sarky lol) makes the nights sitting refreshing the main page worth it.

Ha ha, your welcome, we're on a bit of a roll just now and we have you lot in a couple of weeks.

 

.....just to add incase you didnt understand.....the starview 2 is also known as the box(on the front it says the box in the left hand corner),and the starview 3 is also known as the box super...updates for the starview 3 is available,but currently not for the starview 2....hope that helps.

 

How long does it normally take to get a fix for Starview 2 ??
