I recently bought Starview 2 box based in UK South West. The Box says API version 4.54e Boot version7.0 and 22 Oct 07. I did automatic scan and all the channels are coming up, but I am not able to get PAY channels (comes with $ sign), after researching I knew that there is a hidden menu and you need to turn the EMU on this to be switched ON. Now the problem is I am not able to access this EMU. I tried pressing 1570 after pressing MENU - nothing happens. I tried pressing 2004 after going to PARENTAL CONTROL - nothing happens. Can anybody suggest please what needs to be done. Would be much appreciated. Thanks.
There has been numerous known problems with 4.54 version as the logo file might not be loaded when you bought it to allow you to access the EMU key. In my opinion , I think the 4.51 version is much more stable , either way you will have to use a NULL MODEM CABLE to update it
