Starview 2 box chanels locked

Hi i wonder if someone could help me, ive just got my star view 2 box however most of the chanels are locked?

 

If it is new you need to download the latest firmware to it to allow you view all channels.

All you need can be found in Eamos FTA Library link at the end of my post. For the box you need either Version 4.50 for Ireland or Version 4.51 for the UK, (Found in "The Box" Firmware folder). You also need the Gtromloader,(Found in Starview Software folder). You will find a full guide in the Starview Documentation folder called Starview Guide PDF. This will show you how to flash your box.

You will also need a null modem cable similar to this:

If you only have a laptop, more than likely it will not have a D9 serial port and you will also need a USB serial port adapter to use in conjunction with the null modem cable.

Thanks for your information, the Firmware file i cannot open do i need to download a file so i can open this?

 

You do not open the firmwa*e file , download it to you PC , You also need to download the GT ROM Loader to transfer the firmwa*e to the SV using the Null Modem Cable as Scousers advised
