Location: Dublin 1 Provider: N*L Starview 2 box - version: 4.54e_E Boot ver:7.0 15 Oct 2007 The problem started since last week i.e. 10/03/2008. The box switches off and switches on every 2-3 mins. After switching on, the provider defaults to TW and EMU switches to OFF. Also when the box is switched on, a green screen is displayed (with broken images) and it flickers severely. I have already tried resetting factory setting (0000), then switching off/on, then re-installing procedure( ie. 1570, emu-ON, setting provider and rescan )- but to no avail. Please help.
To be honest , I think you be better of with firmware 4.50 installed , it is more stable and not many problems reported with it . Just hope you havent got a faulty b0x , How long have you got it ?
Hi, I bought it only 2 months back in Jan 08. It worked fine till March beginning and has been giving trouble since then. I have spend endless hours to get it working but have lost hopes. I thought it should have been something like plug n play as opposed to user having to do complex tasks - installing firmware etc. Thanks.
uploading firmware isnt a task, takes 5 mins, download the loader and V4.50 from http://eko.4shared.com/ and upload to your box,
Some progress made. Yesterday night, I installed the firmware and after rescanning the box started working fine. So far so good. This evening when I started the box, it still works fine - I mean the channels can be changed by the remote, BUT nothing appears on the TV. The TV is not responding to the box at all. I have tried restarting but to no avail. Also tried switching it off for 5 mins and then restarting - the TV still doesn't respond. Extremely disappointed. Please help.
