Starview 2 Setup Problem - pls help!

hi,

i've just purchased a new starview 2 box and have run into some trouble during the installation/setup, any help that could be lended would be greatly appreciated! the story so far is as follows:

my loation: leixlip, co. kildare, ireland.
service provider: n*l
- firmware download to the box was successful.
- i've verified that the n*l cable has been connected to the correct connection on the box.
- i'm using a scart lead from the box to the tv.
- auto-scan seems to run fine but the message at the end says that only 36 channels have been found.
- i've turned the emu on.
- when i search through the channels I can see the channel names in the bar at the bottom (over 150 channels I think in total) but only about 10 out of ~150 have a picture. the 10 that are viewable do not have a $ sign at the bottom right, all other channels do and they are all black and say something like 'data being downloaded 0%'. they never go any further than 0% though!
- the box does not look to be a clone, i've compared it to pictures of clone boxes on this site.
- i haven't performed a factory reset yet as i've just found out the key is 0000...would this help?

can anyone help me out here becasue the 10 channels i have are rubbish!! hopefully i'm doing something simple wrong.

Ok, try this - Menu - 1570 - EMU On - defualt key - exit, exit - go to a channel with the dollar sign and see what happens.......

Hi my starview channels with dollar signs are scrambled. codes are ok and emu key on. turned off and on box but channels still not working. any ideas? tanx

 

Are you sure you are digital as I have a funny feeling you only have an analogue connection.

 

This is crazy - I went home that evening with a note of the different things I was advised to try out. I switched on my St*rview B*x and my T.V. and all the channels were there! I don't know what happened as I literally did nothing other than switch on the power to both. Well it's the following week and everything is still running fine so all I can say is Woohooo!! Thanks for the help anyway guys, I know where to come if I have trouble in the future.

Have now changed back to original codes but still updating

 

if i put new code in and it doent work i then put the 01 code in first then the 00 code and it works for me

 

Hi lads having trouble with the starview 2, know all the stuff about the emu key, but my problem is installing the channels. When i auto installed under ch*rus it only brought up 50 channels. im based in meath, can anyone help..
