Starview 2 the box dublin channels scrambled

    Hi All,

    Got a starview 2 today api ver 4.54, boot ver 7.0. In dublin area. Found all the channels on ntl but they all have dollor signs beside them and are all scrambled?? How do I view the channels?

    Press menu - type 1570 and turn EMU on and exit all the way out to a channel such as sky sports and let it update. If you got the box with 4.54 on it, you need to load the logo file or you can load 4.50 on directly.

    Have updated from 4.54 on the box to 4.50 and I can now access the hidden menu using 1570. EMU is now on. When I did a search for channels on ntl network I only found 34 channels?? Before update I had 183 channels? Why is this?

    Factory reset and try again. I seen this before. Happended to me a few times for some reason.

    Sorry for the other post mickah, first time using a forum...opps :eek:)

    Iv tried the factory reset but no luck. Still only receiving 34 channels after reboots and everything??

    Must I use both lines of codes? Do u have the latest ones?

    4.50 is auto roll. you dont need codes mate. when you say you 34 channels, do you have the full 170 channels but can only see 34? Press menu, type 1570, turn EMU with your remote, press exit and exit again out to a channel with a $ agsint it, let the box update, it will say INFO UPDATING on the screen, let us know how ya get on.

    EDIT - If you are only finding 34 in the scan, factory reset and turn the box off for a few mins, then turn on, go to installation, choose your provder, then scan.

    Sounds like he is not doing it from the direct feed Mick.

    I was just thinking that, as I was scanning in a bedroom ( no jokes there now!!) and the box would only pull in a few channels, so I brought the box to a direct feed and away it went. It was the connection which was causing the issue

    I now have 186 channels. The emu is ON. Ver 4.50. All channels with $ sign still scrambled??

    Im losing it here :eek:(

    I put codes into the box on lines 00 and 01, could that have effected it?

    Yes as The Box updates the codes itself, just press the default key and go to any Sly sports and let it update.

    Thanks Mickah and Scouser. Got it working after doing what you said lastnight :eek:) Brialliant Yoke altogether!!

    Do ye know how to get free broadband by any chance? Jus kiddin...
