hi my box was doing the same as yours i tryed everything u have and couldnt get it to work so i will try and explain what i did that got my box up and running with no problems. on your box where the cable feed plugs in to it, look at this (on the back of your box) u will see that it is a female connection (a pin in the middle with a hole in it)all i did was nipped this pin together abit to make the connection tighter for when i plugged the cable feed in and hey presto put box on and everything was working fine all i had to do then was put latestest firmware back on as i tryed same as u and put older firmware on. i too thought my box was really for the bin but its not alls fine now hope this helps

just want to say that i dont think your box is dead if it was then u wouldnt get anything at all on the box no picture or power to the box ect i put the 4.55 firmware on mine are u putting the firmware on the box right do the number go across the screen on the box while the firmware is loading it should go from one to 100 then do u wait untill u get a message that your download loades sucessfull before u disconect your box

It just seems that you probably have had a bad flash, click on the 1st link at the bottom and read the post (re-fergus) 3rd down and try that, if you have a constant green ---- moving across then your box is not dead.

I seem to remember this problem a while ago, when the starview2 was the latest box,i fixed many a box this way......Set everything up for a flash (comp to box with latest software ) turn box off at the back,, then turn on again and just as it is starting to boot up THEN hit the "download software " button, this should force flash your box and make it all well again, hope it helps

Just try what I suggested in earlier post, The Bad Flash Recovery Method okay, it has been known to take in excess of 25 attempts but it will eventually kick in for you. You will find all the information at both the Starview links below, just give it a go and you will need a bit of perseverance and patience.
