Has been happenin since i got it, anytime i turn it off or put it on standby for a while when i switch it back on all the channels come up as no signal, but are all still tuned in where they were.
The EMU is set to on, the software is the latest v450, every connection to the box is fine an when they are tuned in it is perfect, but i cant turn it off without them going missing
Any ideas what could be causing this? Im tempted to lob the thing out at this rate!

"No Signal" sounds like the incoming cable into the SV is not connected or might be loose , Are you using it in another room with a splitter ? Try it from the MAIN incoming cable

    thanks for he reply
it is coming from a splitter alright, the main one is in the sitting room downstairs so i would be wanting to have it in my own room
the cable works fine, never goes down or anything, but would the split be affectin the quality of the signal enough to make it inconsistent?

I would think so , you might need a good quality signal booster

I just tried installing a Starview 2 "The Box" in someones house and got the "No Signal" problem. His cable is split also. I am wondering though, would the first Starview Box work on the split signal or if it doesn't work on Starview 2, does that apply to Starview 1 also?

Best thing to do would be to unsplit the cable and plug the Starview into the direct feed and let it update, then resplit the cable and see what results you have.

As Celt indicated you may also require a signal booster. I have mine split, but have re-wired the internal house cabling with a good quality CT100 cable.
