Hi there if got a Starview The Box and i have used the Latest Loader and the latest upto date thats the V4.03 loader and the V4.57 FIRMWARE as far as iam lead to belive ,I got these in a zip file (THE BOX V4.57)
from a very reliable site for tuition purposes only. The flash goes ok ,even when i scan it after everything is ok it finds all the channels,i do the other wee final settings to the box and it goes ok,After around mins then it has a mind of its own it switches of and starts to re-boot ? .I have had some tuition on what might be wrong but the information and the photos were for the STARVIEW 1 i think. When i opened the Box up the lay out is diverent from the photos i was told to look at. The problem as iam told is that one of the small capasitors needs replace with a 16 volt one i think this is the C11 one .HAS ANY ONE GOT AN IDEA .if so it would be most appreaciated

    Many Thanks

    This happens nearly all SV2's
You could try replace the plug for starters, cut the 2pin moulded one off.
Then if that dont work I'd replace the cap, although usually them caps blow and you get no power

hi mate , my money would be on the c11 capasitor if the box suddenly switches off after an hour or so when its hot it sometimes dislays a 0 on the display and quickly comes back on ,some people use cheap splitters which dont help with the auto updating process and it leavea a - on the display, for the sake of 50p for the capasitor from maplins it maybe worth changing anyway.
