    Hi there,

I have a starview 2 'the box' but when I power up it turns itself off and on the front of the display appears an 0. If I turn the box off for a bit then restart it will work for a mins then the display will show 0 and the picture will freeze but the sound stays then it turns itself off then back on and again and again....
I have flashed the box with the latest firmware v457 with the latest loader a few times and its doing the same thing
after looking around this looks to be this problem http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/531363#3216144
but I would just like some advice of what id need to do (steps) to correct the problem if this is the case

    thanks in advance

    hi,

Thanks for your quick response I have removed the top of the box to see inside there looks to be a liquid around C5 with a bit of burning near it also C21 has a little bit of brown liquid between C21 and U2 but there appears to be no physical damage to C11 what would this indicate??

do you think it would be easier to buy a new brown board (i dont know what its called) and install that instead would this solve the problem?

yeah i assume you need to replace C11 and C21 (my C21 has brown gunk between it and U2) but would it also mean i need to replace the other caps i mentioned (C5 & U2) aswell?

edit anyone know a good place to get a replacement board??
