All firmware/loader can be found in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos Library.

You will need the GTromloader, (Starvi*w Software Uploader), found in the Starview software folder of the link.

You will need version 4.51 firmware for "THE B0X" found in "THE B0X" firmware folder.

And please download the Starvi*w PDF guide,(similar instructions, this will give you step by step instructions on how to do everything. This can be found in the Starvi*w Documentation folder in the link.

Hope you don't mind me butting in Celt as you don't seem to be online at the moment but @shann85 Is it possible for you to use a null modem cable direct to a PC with a 9pin com port as quite a few people have had probs with usb adaptors so your problem could be that

Are you sure you are using the NULL MODEM CABLE in conjunction with the USB Adapter ?

Sounds like it might be the rs232 cable

do you know aswell if you need the box to be hooked up to the ntl cable? have been trying it with it but may try and take it home to try with using a PC so can use a staight connection between box n PC instead of using an adapter.

No the box should not be hooked up to the n/l cable when putting on firmware

I have seen this happen before, the solution was to unplug it from the socket for 2-3 minutes and try again

Unlpug your box and open the screws on the b0x and look at the connectors near the LCD and see if they are secure , it might be slightly loose

Basically that but its not just hey presto you need to flash them with the appropriate firmware dependant on what type of boxes you have bought.

No worries then, although I would check them first as some sellers say they have flashed them and all they come with is FTA firmware or worst case a badly flashed box.

You will need a null modem cable DB9F to DB9F your's may look similar but it might not be the correct one.

    Null modem info here

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=L71BT&DOY=2m6

If your pc does not have a serial port you will need a USB to serial port adapter to use in conjunction with the null modem cable.

    USB Adapter info here

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Modu...erial Adaptor

These two cable links are only for reference as they can be purchased alot cheaper on fleabay.

All firmware/loader can be found in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos FTA Library.

You will need the GTromloader, (Starview Software Uploader), found in the Starview software folder of the link.

You will need either version 4.50 for Ireland or version 4.51 for the UK, (there are later versions but these seem the most stable), firmware found in "The Box" firmware folder.

And please download the Starview PDF guide,(similar instructions as to "The Box" guide), this will give you step by step instructions on how to do everything. This can be found in the Starview Documentation folder in the link.

Sorry I have to leave now but all you need is above, had a funny feeling they would not be flashed, but each one will only take a few minutes to flash and scan.
