    Hi all

I have been waiting for a code change to update my box so i have gone to do it today for the first time ever and i am stuck. Firstly i have a usb to serial adapter and all the cables and i am on vista but got drivers and it has assigned it to com 4!

So plugged my box in, put it on standbye, then connected it to my computer and loaded the V4.03_051005 up. I then put it to com 4 in the loader and located the bin file (thebox_h20081204_455eE_api.bin) i then clicked on download and after a few seconds it comes up "flash failed"

I have tried it a few times and it says the same thing, i have a starview 2 the box not a clone, and it had version 4.54 on it...where am i going wrong??

    Thanks all

    Chris

first up if the mods see your thread title it will be closed, secondly there have been numerous posts with people having problems with vista, so if you can acess a pc running xp or previous and with a serial port it would make your life a whole lot easier.

Now that is what I call a novel solution to that problem, and we should know moh should we not, but I wouldn't advise them to throw it away LOL
