STARVIEW 3 channel scan help

hi guys im new to this so please bear with me hope someone can help!!??

bascilly i have a starview 3 scanned all the channels which came up but all were bad/scrambled to access the "hidden menu" i had to update the firmware to 7.05 which worked gr8!!

re-connected the updated box turned on the EMU and it unlocked s*y sports 2 straight away, BRILLIANT.

however as soon as i changed channel the box froze so turned it off back on and now all my channels are gone and whenever i auto scan now, keeps saying "failed" and no channels come up?

any ideas anyone please?????? im soooo stuck

 

Have you tried a factory reset and rescan or after that try a reflash.

 

i have tried factory reset mate still nothing??? how do u re-flash sorry like i sed very new 2 this but thanks sooooooooo much 4 replying i really hope you can help.

 

As Sc0user advised you should re flash the box....update it, same as you,ve done previously

 

flashing is updating firmware. just put the firmware on again or try a factory reset and let me know.

 

hi guys re-flashed the box same problem though when i go to autoscan for channels comes up saying failed and detects no channels. the line is definently fine could it be the key data in nagravision hidden menu??? i really dont know but its driving me nuts cant get it 2 work! once again really appreciate all you guys help hope we can get this resolved look forward 2 hearing from you

 

make sure scart is in bottom slot and cable is in cable input then go into manual scan and network scan enable on 6.887 if that doesnt work scan on 6.952 symbol rate

 

make sure you enable network scan on each manual scan. depending on your area symbol rate is 6887 or 6952. put anything as the frequency as network scan just finds all channels on the right symbol rate.

 

yep all connected up correctly tried what you said still not picking up any channels though when i autoscan??

 

still 0 program found when scan is completed?? really appreciate you guys help id b lost otherwise any other ideas guys?

 

from in front is the cable in at the left top?

 

yep all cables are where they should be because b4 i updated the firmware i autoscanned and it picked up all the channels just wouldnt show them coz couldnt enter hidden menu to turn on EMU so thats how i know the line is fine and the cables are connected correctly, seems since i updated it it wont allow me to pick up any channels on auto scan??

 

me and steo have both told you to manual scan and how to do it whose your provider and what country

 

yeh i know mate have tried auto and the manual way you guys said but not getting any joy from either?

did you enable network scan when doing the manual scan?

virgin media and im in south wales mate thanx again

 

did you select that when doing an autoscan?

 

selected NTL doesnt give an option of virgin media on the cable network selection?

 

try an autoscan on each network provider and let it finish. one of them should pick up channels.
