starview 3 channels ???

I have just recently bought a starview 3 box its the first box i have had i have managed to flash it and have getting it working but i was woundering if i was ment to get any more channels ? i get the ones you would get on nTl but dont get anything like sky one or things like that any help???

 

You will get all the channels your provider has to offer.
If you're in Ireland do a manual scan on 347500 for S*y One & S*y Two.
If you're in the UK you can't get the S*y channels i.e S*y one,Two or 3 on cable.

you will get the s*y movies channels, sports etc, once your cc provides it.

 

Yep you will get the PPV channel,it may be called the events channel on some providers and it wil generally show nothing until an event is coming up then it will show ad's for the event,if you can't find it on your channel list,do an autoscan the day or a few hours before the event it will pick it up then.

 

ok thanx very much just one more thing could you tell me what it means when it comes up bad or scrambled channel ?

 

This can mean a few things,it can be that the channel you're on has temporary fault,your provider's digital service may be experiencing a fault or you can get this if your EMU is turned off which you can check by pressing the menu buttoon on your remote and entering 1570 and look down the list it brings up and you will see 'Key EMU' if it is OFF turn it to ON.

 

thanx again must be there fault or some thing ive got the emu key on i get most the channels just on or two do it thanx any way

 

Yeah I'd say it's just a fault on your providers side with those channels,if they are still saying this after a day or so try doing a manual scan to see if that will get them back on for you.

 

do you need to know the frequencys for the channels to manual search ?(sorry for being clueless )

hello ppl, im havin a lil problem i jus bought a "the box super" (starview 3) nd i installed it nd did a channel scan, evrythin was wrkin f9 until i accidently clickd channel scan agen.
now only the free basic channels r workin, all the others just say "scrambled or bad channel", ive restrtd it nd evn dun a chnnel scan agen but nuthin seems 2 wrk, im jus a noob at dis typ of stuf, i need hlp pls!

 

have you tried leaving it on one of the scrambled or bad channels for a few minutes see if it updates its self ?

 

menu 1570 key emu to on exit 3 times,when scanning it turns emu to off and u need to turn back on to view.

hello im in ireland dub and i was wondering if someone could help me. i was recently watching jetix with my kids and it just went to the scrambled or bad channel screen, i just left it for a while to see if it would be back but it dident, so i deleted the channel and tried a rescan to get the channel back but i couldent find it if someone could help it would be much appreciated.
