Hi, I have got a starview 3 and have put the latest firmware onto it (V.705) and auto scanned to get my channels. I then put the channels into order alphabetically so I can arrange them in my own order, but when I move them they keep the same channel number. E.g. BBC1-111, BBC2-125, ITV-396 and I want to put them at 1, 2, 3 etc. is there any reason why the channel numbers wont change? I also have a starview 2 box and have tried to put the channel list from that onto the new box but after I have downloaded the new channels the SV3 resets itself and all the channels and needs to be re-scanned. i have also tried factory reset and even re-flashed the box but its the same thing. Hope you understand this as its wrecking my head.
That's just the way it's made. It auto sorts the channels. you'll just have to get used to the order.
dam it. fair enough then. its a pain in the arse when im used to channels in number order. thanks steo
