Starview 3 help please

    hi, whenever i try to download firmware to the box or even when it is turned on, it just says dl and wont let me load any firmware onto it. it is ...6.0e 4 feb 08 8.0v... someone please help me with this one,other boxes working fine

    are you downloading the firmware with the box on stand by ?

    no mate, well dont think so. when i awitch on/pff the dl appears on the box and wont budge

    when you connect the box to the pc by the serial cable plug the box in and with the remote put it on stand by then start downloading the firmware to the box thats what i do

    also everytime when i try to install, flash keeps failing 1/2 way through

    make sure you're using the correct firmware/loader as well matey

    Hi Mate I am having problem with my box i have starview box and got vir*g*n c*ble Provider. I am in Manchester. All of the sudden it stoped working I have tried autoscanning it dose scan but some or most of the cha**els dont show up and the box freez.I have bought a 9pin Null Moderm cable as some one told me but dont know how this works any help please.

    Go to the link marked Starview 2nd line at the bottom of my post and follow the guide, if it is Starview The Box Super then there is a fix out, and it is in Eamo's FTA Library with todays date on it, if you have any other Starview then it is not worth doing at the minute.

    Also get the fix here >>> but read any way.>>

    I take it that you have an earlier model then and not the Super, well when the fix comes out then come back if you want any help to update, someone will always be here to help.
