starview 3 help!

    hey im new to all of this...i recently purchased a starview 3 box super and am having difficulty finding any channels at all..i put 7.09 on it and tried to auto scan but so far everyhting is failing...so any help would be appreciated...im in cork ireland by the way...thanks!

    Press menu > 1570 & see if you can access the CAS system menu.

    Hey - probably should be a new thread but it says help so here I go

    Have been using box 3 for a while but it went yesterday. I have rebooted the channels and they all come up but when it goes onto a channel it says date is being updated (0%) and nothing is happening. I can only get RTE1 on the box - dont want to watch that!!

    I can access the CAS menu and my emu is on - any other suggestions??

    Go back into the CAS menu & go to set default key.
    Press ok & exit out to bbc1 & see if it updates. If not, turn the b0x off at the back for a min, turn back on & go up one channel to bbc2 & let it update.

    Ok, press menu > 1570
    Turn the "key emu" on & exit out to channels & let us know what happens.

    emu is now on ..back in main menu..should i try installation again maybe?

    Exit to channels, are you picking up any channels at all?
    Are you getting the message saying "Scrambled or Bad channel" ?

    But mine still isnt updating. just getting the blue box on the screen that says it is but still at 0%

    nothing at all...im trying ch***s and its making its way through: TP1,2,3,etc. everyone failing...

    @ smythr, can you find out if you are ch***s or n*l?
    I might be wrong, but i have a feeling you`re mmds(aerial on roof) & not cable.

    i only hav a free view sat on de roof..never hav had either of those...im actually gonna leav it go now nd check it out a bit more coz ill only b wreckin ur head wit stupid questions as i dont really know what im on about!!..thanks 4 de help though :)
