Hi, i'm completely new to this, i have just bought a starview 3 and set it up everything worked perfect, however, i have noticed that i am missing a bunch of channels. I am on NTL in Dublin and got all other channels, but for a few that i wanted like setanta sports 2 and Liverpool TV. After searching google and the past posts here it seems that all of the channels i am missing are on these frequencies: 371.500 418.250 394.250 Now i have tried manual scanning all of these and just not finding any channels, i also did a factory reset and did another auto scan without any change. Does anyone know of anything else i could try or if theres anything i have missed short of getting a channel dump?
is your connction split? if so try and scan from the main feed.ps Try lfc tv at 419.00 and try the 371.500 at 370.250
ty for the response, i tried it on all the connections in my house without finding any of the channels, i also scanned the freqencies you said down the bottom, still couldn't find the ones i am missing.
ok try the channel dump http://www.4shared.com/account/file/43325816/d1b98222/superbox_dublin_nthell_dump.html
ok cheers, i have downloaded the channel dump and i will try it tommorrow, have to get a lend of a null modem cable from a mate, then i will transfer the dump. ps: do i need to do a factory reset so that my channels are gone before i transfer the channel dump? or will this matter?
so i have just tried the dump and it won't transfer, i ran it a few times in standby and turned on, no difference, just keeps saying flash update failed, do i need to use a specific version of gtromloader? cause i have tried 2 version and both gave me the same results, i know i have the right com port selected as i only have 1, i definitely had selected channel data file and selected the bin file, so not sure why it won't work, any ideas?
so i found that it was a bad cable i was using that was the problem, i managed to get the channel dump to transfer but the channels are just black... i am thinking this might be because i am in Dunboyne, i assumed i would be on ntl dublin, though could it be a need a meath dump?
If your in Dunboyne you might have a problem out there! Look here at a previous thread and see if it sorts you out: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/695998
Ok the channels you say are black ... if you delete these... and then do a manual scan in the requiered frequencies you will pick them up at the end of your channels
no when i do a manual scan it doesn't pick them up, thats why i needed the channel dump, what i do find odd is that i still get the epg for the channels and some of them say channel changing, please wait while saving and then they just go black.
