I bought a Starview 3 and as I was moving from Satalite to cable. I loaded the box and scanned in the channels from N*L Dublin and had something like 185 tv and radio channels installed.

Later I plugged in my satalite feed (S*y) instead of the cable feed and I was supprised to find that all the N*L channeld previously loaded were still available to watch.

Has anyone else tried this and is there a way to load the rest of the Satalite channels onto the box (Automatically or Manually) as I really would like some of the channels carried by Satalite that are not on Cable (ITV 2, 3 and 4 for instance as they carry the footy in midweek)

Alternatively, what would the implications of a dual input be (ie both the satalite and Cable feed into the back of the Starview 3 simutaneously)?

    Any input would by apreciated

I have a cable feed for the Cable system and a seperate Satellite feed for the Sk* sytem. When I put the Sat feed into the Starview Cable box it works but does not allow me to scan for additional channels. Only the pre-programmed channels work. I have tried the cable feed into the sat box but it does'nt work.
