    Hi

I have been trying to flash the new file (the fix), but getting error. I have original box. I open the file and click on download but then get the error message flash update failed. I am using the following cable, please let me know if this can be used:
    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=97737&DOY=1m11

I did a factory reset, then put the box on standby and then tried flashing, but got the error message. Will appreciate help.

    Some one please help!!

    Hi
I got the new cable and tried again, but i am still getting the same problem. It comes up as flash update failed. I have tried restarting the box, switching it off from main power but no luck. Need some help please!!!

You need a Null Modem cable DB9F to DB9F.
Have a look at celtics guide in the starview link under my sig.
All the info on flashing, cables etc is there.

I used the null cable, female both ends, make sure it is attached properly. Mine failed at first, fiddled with cable and bingo i was away.
