HI folks Any help appreciated Box loaded with 8.04e software. When we try to scan the channels, it only goes up 28 channels and they all fail. Signal has been checked and is all ok. We have a NTL cable. Cables are connected correctly as it was working previously and ntl box has been checked sperately too and is working fine. Any advise to make our box work would be really appreciated.
go to installation then choose your provider then do automatic scan,sometimes on mine you mite have to scan a couple of times,it will say failed on a lot of transponders but let it finish and see how many channels you get, are u receiving any channels at all
No none at the moment, we have tried to scan twice already but both times it has failed. We are at our wits end now
u shud be receiving free to air channels,just on your connections on the back of your box have u them placed in the rite in put and output as thers 2 places to plug your cable in sorry if this sounds silly but few people put cable in wrong places,they shud go in to cable input the back of box in the middle
Do a factory reset and a fresh Installation on your correct provider N*L, after making sure that your LIVE cable feed is in to the Cable Input socket at the back. Like so >> Menu - Factory Setting pin - 0000 Press OK to Delete OK to Confirm Turn the box off at the back for a min, then turn back on OK on English - OK on Installation Choose provider N*L - Autoscan = OK Channels Found > exit Menu - 1570 Turn Emu on Exit, Exit, Exit.
Have to wait and see, anyway I am off for awhile, so it should work out alright if the connections are Okay and Correct.
Live cable feed - do you mean the power feed also reading from what I have to do it seems that I am re-installing the software and then doing a factory reset afterwards, could you please confirm that I have understood correctly otherwise there will be no software on the box, sorry for being daft and thanks for the help
press menu on your box then system information what does it say live feed is the tv cable coming into your house as yours is ntl,if your ntl box is working then u have live feed
This is correct and the NTL Box is working fine and the cable has been checked and is sound, still confused about the sequence of factory reset/installation

Did exactly what you said but sorry it is still not picking any channels, it shows as 28 channels but they all fail. But after we have done factory reset the new software version API V8.04e, boot version 8. I don't know where we are going wrong it all seems so simple but it doesn't work for us.
chandb - What are you confused about, when I say Live cable feed I do not mean Power! I mean your exact feed (Coaxil Cable) bringing the feed from N*L into your property, is it going into the Cable Input socket at the back of your box?
