aldo67, Have you Downloaded the GTRom v8.04 and saved it to your Desktop, if not then do so. When/If you have the GTRom 8.04 on your Desktop, then connect the box to your PC with the NULL MODEM lead (If you have an older type PC with the correct 9 pin serial port, as you seem to describe, then that is ideal) - Now double click the GTRom on the Desktop to open/run it (it will most likely be assigned to COMM 1) and click on the button "Download", it is an all in one loader (UFL - Unified Firmware and Loader) and the % downloading should appear. If you get this far then wait - wait until you get the "Download Complete" Pop up box before disconnecting. This is the GTRom you need http://www.4shared.com/file/77416964/43e4d988/GTRom_Super_804e.html?dirPwdVerified=c6ab23f1
No need for appologies, if you do not know then you do now know, best way is to ask - simple as that. Anyway let us know how you go, now that you have the RED arrow, double click and RUN it, that is the UFL okay, then press Download, make sure that you have the NULL MODEM lead connected from box to PC, and that the box is plugged into mains and on Standby. (as described in above post)
We are talking about The Box Super, is that what it say's top left hand front of the Box.? Are you in UK - because there was a roll today and if you have the latest Firmware as I posted above then it should have updated for you automatically. Click on the Starview link 2nd line for a guide cortesy of Celtic, just go to Menu and down to System Information OK and post what it say's. If you do have the 8.04 Firmware on then Menu - 1570 via keypad and make sure the Key Emu is ON, if it is then press Set Default Key and exit all the way out to Sly Sports 1.
