Hoping somebody can help, just recently purchased a Starview 3 (The Box Super)dbox, installed the necessary gtrom, turned EMU to on on the secret screen (i.e. 1570), completed an auto search for new channels on the install screen. This installed approx 400 channels. Went on to one of the pay per view channels, the screen come up with updating then the channel come on. All fine, except some of the free to air channels and a few ppv channels wont come on. The mesage displayed on the screen is 'no signal' and the screen freezes. Service provider: MTL / VARGIN MEDIA Location: North East of England, Middlesbrough Problem Channels: BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, ITV2, SKY SPORTS 2 If I'm doing something wrong could somebody please help. There is or at least was a VM outage in you area over the last few days. It may settle on its own or you could try a factory reset and autoscan again from the direct feed.

now scouse im from the middlesboro like steve and have just put version 8.00 software on a starview 3 box for one of the lads and am havin the same problem ive got most channels but the ones he was missin plus a few more say no signal on em, do i just do a factory reset then auto scan again?? or do i need to put the software back on it and start from scratch
A few new TPs have been added in your area. Just do a factory reset, turn key emu back on and scan again. BTW if you got the box recently use 7.09 instead of 8.00.

Sorry transponders, (frequencies), the channels you are missing have been moved to new frequencies. Don't know if its permanent or not but you may need to delete them and manually scan if factory reset and rescan doesn't work, (this has been a problem in some areas). I can give them to you but try the reset and rescan first.
now scouse sorted the problem out wiv the channels missing by doing what you said cheers for that mate, but i have another prob to see if you can sort. its the same sort of problem my mates mams box lost all the channels even the freeview ones, i done wot u said to put the other problem right factory reset etc, read a few of the other forums for solutions and tryed menu-1570-default scanned again and went to sky sports like quite a few of the senior members said to do. i got channel one and a few others back but no sky sports, movies etc it just says data being updated and stays on 0% any suggestions matey???
ok, try this, Turn the b0x off at the back for about 20 secs. Turn back on & press menu > 1570 set default key again & exit to s*y sports & see if it updates.
