    Hi

My starview 3 box has suddenly stopped working. We have 2 in the house and both are only displaying free to air channels. They have been fine now for at least 6 months but have just stopped working. Any help on how to rectify this problem would be a great help, however I am a complete dunce when it comes to these boxes so please explain right from step one what I need to do.

At present the channels I can't access just say data is being updated the percentage rises to 100% however it just flicks back to the channel and starts the process again. I have reset to factory settings and tried scanning on network TW but every scan fails and at the end it says 0 channels found, I then tried network NTL where the scan works and 454 channels are found but not all the channels can be accessed. I am not sure what network to select as I cannot remember setting the box up, however I believe when the box was working it was on the networtk TW. Under System Information the following info is displayed:

    THE BOX Super
    API ver: 6.00e_E
    Boot Ver: 8.0
    4. Feb. 2008

I have tried to provide as much info as possible so any help or explanations would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

I see that something has happened to peoples' signals or something. Either way the forums are overrun with CODE BEGGARS and i'm having trouble keeping up with all the BEGGING ie Forum Rule abuse so i see no other course of action but to close them all down, i see even the long-running threads are being abused too.
