starview 3

hello all, i bought yesterday starview 3 box online. it is almost same as starview 2. but when it finishes searching channels, it doesn't accept any code like 1570 or 2004. Anybody have any idea wht is the code for that. i haven't recieved any instruction paper with that.

Go to menu system information and tell us what API version is on your box

Should be something like V4.00e_E

what does it say on your one let us know

 

i got my one today and 1570 worked for me. just one question where do you find the categories? must be blind just cannot find them

 

press the ok button and scroll to the right they are there

heya, sky sports 1 has been deleted from my channels, any1 know d freq??

 

if u delete a channel or five u can just do an autoscan on ur provider to bring them back

 

cheers for dat, only problem is dat the channel is extremely poor quality along with sky sports 2 and 3. duno why its just mainly these 3 cos rest seem ok.

got me new starview 3 today pluged it in and its up and running grand no probs so far fingers crossed

 

Guys, straight off i dont know too much about this starview 3 . i ordered one just there on ebay iys starview3 .. all i want to no in plain English is . when i get it if i plug it in will i get sky sky sports .. i have ntl basic ny the way .... and the fella on ebay said it auto update ... So if anyone would like to give me a run down about the box i would be more then delighted .... thanks a million !!!! all the besk

Depends on what firmware is installed , some come with only FTA channel viewing and you might need to update it , You will get S*Y Sports if your provider suppies it

hi i've just bought a starview 3 box but only have a cable box upstairs what is the easiest way of running a cable downstairs

 

if you have a brown box out side all you need to do is drill out run a bit of cable to it and put a 2 way splitter in the brown box. you will also need a few other things but you should be able to get them all from maplin

 

i've looked don't have a brown box cable coming up from the ground
which things will i need from maplin?

 

where abouts you live? and where dose your cable come from on the out side? you will need things like f conectors and catv cable from maplin

 

Hi all. Got starview 3 working no problem in my house ( i have n*l basic ) but in my mates house, where they have the same n*l mmds equipment but no subscription we can only get sky sports/movies, setanta sports etc, but cant get the basic channels like rte, bbc tv3 etc. they are bad channel or scrambled. Does anyone have any ideas
