starview 4 found no channels in southern eire. No channels on eurovox box either.

    i got the new starview box in the post today, it also came with a box called eurovox that i didnt realise was getting. Anyway i turned my starview box on and scanned for channels, it found nothing i have the ntl ariel on the roof. I tryed updating the software with several links still no good.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    where abouts are you located in southern ireland, are you 100%sure its ntl and not chorus?
    Have you plugged out your powersupply for the aerial?

    Im in the west of Ireland Mayo yes its ntl, i have an ariel on the roof.

    No my power supply is plugged in, that why it took me so long to set it up earlier the power pac was blowin, it would not find any channels.
    Any ideas what this eurovox box is? or what is it used 4? it has ex5 100 pvr written on the front of it, new to all this?

    it does the same thing as the starview but can record if you plug a hdd into the front, IMO the starview box is far better

    are you sure you are on NTL or are you chorus ??

    chorus MMDS >>> dvdb-t

    ntl MMDS >>>> dvb-c
