starview 4 help needed fast

my pal just got a starview, i have one, im trying to tell him about the 1570 menu thing, it isnt working on his box. is there any other code he could try?

 

all new boxes come freeview only.they will need updating with firmware before you can use the menu 1570.

 

how do i update the firmware, sorry for being so thick.lol

 

i have v1.12 installed. its running through all the channels when i do auto scan, but it wont let me into 1570 to turn on the key thingy.

 

as you stated if you have firmware 1.12 installed then press menu then 1 5 7 0 go to turn keycode on
