starview 4 problem

    i have just got sv4 and can only see the free to air channels can anyone help

    If it has correct firmware you probably need to put emu on, now don't know much about sv4 but if its the same as sv1, 2 and 3, try menu 1570 and if it brings up secret menu you should be able to put emu on and exit back.

    excuse my ignorance but where do i find menu1570 and exactly what firmware do i need cheers

    If you have only just got the box then it will need to be flashed with firmware before you can get the other channels, the firmware you will need is TheboxSuperUSB_V1.05.BIN and this TheBoxSuperUSB_BG_LOGO_080904_.bin also read the release notes, all the above will be found in Eamo's FTA Library at the bottom of my post, also go to the link marked Starview and have a read down, for guidance, you do know that you need a USB stick to load the firmware don't you, if you have not got one then get one.

    thanks so much for helping me out i got it up and running, will i encounter any problems in future ive heard issues about srambling etc, and by the way my parents have satelite is there any system for them, thanks again

    You should be okay when they scramble, it will A/U for you, as regards the sat query. question there is equipment out there, but not for Sly, and no-one on here deals with them sorry.
