Got a new box, just wondering what firmware to put on it? I see there is a new BIN file ( TheboxSuperUSB_V1.09.BIN ), does anyone know if this works alright? I don't want the same thing to happen as last time where my box froze on 8% and wouldnt work after.

    Cheers!

Logo is usally on the box already even with FTA only firmware. If you see a blank screen before flashing the box there is no logo file present.

If you see "The Box Super USB" on screen then the logo file is present. It doesn't matter if you load it first or after the firmware bin file.

Yes it was seen a while back and was posted numerous times over the last few months. Some of them where pure rumour with no foundation others had some.

DAMMIT!!! Same thing has happened, box has frozen again on 8%! This is the 2nd box?? There must be something wrong with that download V1.07?? I guess im now gonna havta spend £15 on that Max232 thing if I ever want this to work.

The Max232 is only for a bootloader fault usually caused by a bad flash. If 8882 comes up on the screen and stays that way you need the Max 232.

For your problem are you scanning on the correct provider. You said Northern Ireland, so it should be N**. Also was the logo file loaded already?

I thought it was in the papers in Ireland and the guy who runs the cable company in Ireland gave an interview. It seemed to me that eveytime someone mentioned it on this board lots of regulars would gang up on them and call them names and basically shout them down.

    I wonder why.

I assume the Logo file was already on it because as soon as I turned the box on a menu screen came up with Installation,Channel List, USB etc. I tried putting on the larger BIN file first and ended up freezing and now Im getting the 8882 LCD display. Ive just ordered the Max232, hopefully it doesn't take too long to arrive and it works alright for me.

does anyone know if there is away of saving scanned channels on my pc or usb so not needing to scan each time you move to to and from different areas or having to rescan again and again?
