    V1.09 will be ok :)
You`ll need a USB stick to flash the b0x.
Download the firmware onto your desktop & drag it onto the stick.
Insert the stick into the USB slot at the back of the b0x.
Press menu, go to usb press ok
Highlight the firmware > press ok
Load the v.109 onto the b0x
Menu > 1570 > turn keycode on > exit to channels.

A 1GB stick will do for flashing, but if you want to record a few films, matches etc, then a 8GB will do the job.

hi noelyf i know you explained already, but im still a little confused.when i go to eamos library i click on the folder for the box super usb, then i click on firmware for ireland there are 4 folders there

    1. channel editor
    2. firmware
    3. help files
    4. software to view recording

when i download the firmware its says v109 bin file what exactly do i do with that?is it this file that i drag to my memory stick? and the other items listed above 1,3, and 4 do i also drag them? sorry for being such an nuiscance but id like to get all this sorted before my box arrives......thanks in advance.

The v.109 will do you for now mate. You can download the channel editor later if you want.

    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can help with a prob I'm having with Starview 4 USB box. I bought one for a friend the other day and put the latest firmware on it and scanned in all the channels, set up favourites etc. and it was working fine for me. But when I brought it down to mates place and hooked it up I get a 'No signal' message. He's NTL and when the cable is put straight into his telly it works fine. I checked the connection coming into his place and there is only 1 cable coming in so i don't think its a case of signal lose due to splitting.

Also he lives in an apartment so i don't know if that makes a difference.

i've seen suggestions on other threads about buying a signal booster? seems extreme and a bit over my head!

    Any help appreciated.

If you`re using a splitter, remove it & do an autoscan.
Sorry mate, but I have to split (the other half is in me ear lol).
Hope you get it sorted :)
