My genuine Starview 4 PVR box does not record on to the 500Gb USB harddrive anymore.I have recorded loads of programs which can still be accessed and viewed from the hdd but it will not record anything anymore. I have tried substituting the hdd with my neighbour who also has Starview 4 Box and it records on his system o.k. When I press record on the remote, screen says "Info recording INIT" and the box displays "rec" for about 1 second then reverts back to normal without recording. mmmh! Any help will do. Thanx
I dun a factory reset and loaded latest version 1.10 got all stations but it will not record.It goes through the motions but seems to reset itself. Any help will do.
sorry not to familiar with pvr box but have the usb one myself when you say you d.loaded the new software the latest1 is called beta but then again i dont know for sure if that is for the pvr id be 50/50 to try it,go in to a different thread and post your query try the (box usb thread) or 1 like that dont post in the kryptview threads as you will prob get grief of them for wrong thread sorry i could'n be much help, all i can do is point you into thread where some 1 will help or have the same box (Starview PVR/The Box PVR - N2 update available???,) (KRYPTVIEW / STARVIEW / EUROVOX / DIGIVOX) there is 2 more threads you will deffo get an answer of them have quick read before you post, as an answer will prob be already there??
The recording function will not work with 1.10 or the later beta version. If you're in the UK it would be best to go back to 1.07; if you're in Ireland you'll have to lump it for now unfortunately.
i tought the pvr had a built in hard drive! anyway i have my box usb recording now for the last 10 minutes and im in dublin, now i have mine since x.mass unless the boxes that are coming out now have a fault in them is any one else having problems recording on there boxes tony_i does your box not record let me know?
The SV4 is advertised as a PVR. It's been a well known bug that since 1.10 the epg has not been good and you can't record using the epg scheduler. I can use the epg to record - beause I reverterd back to 1.07 (I'm in the UK).
