Starview 4 USB - No channels on scan

Hi,

Wondering can anyone help me, have been all over this site trying everything with no result

Gota Starview 4 USB with the new firmware uploaded on Cork Ch**us cable, had a sig strenght of 65 so added an slx booster and it is now on 98.

I have tried scanning on ch**us cork and ch**us with nothing found, when it does scan certain frequencies give a green bar flash for a second but nothing coming through, brought the box to a mates and he can get everything.

Any help appreciated

Sound like a signal issue, when you say it wont work at home but it does in your mates... do you have a live cable feed or is it MMDS and what is your mates???

 

Both cable different areas though not sure does that matter, read the sig from the sagem box that was installed it is at 98 now with perfect quality, using the same leads to connect the starview 4

 

What firmware have you on the box?

 

I've loaded the new firmware 1.02 beta from 4shared no difference though

 

I was going to suggest that, theres not much about the SV4 yet, perhaps if you try the 1.01 I dont know, try it and see,!!!

 

i think u have wrong box as sagem might be mmds=dvb/t
if u had a pace box =dvb/c =sv4

 

Isnt MMDS with an aerial of some sort, my cables connected through a CATV manhole outside my door

As cactikid said looks like you are on MMDS, wonder where he heard that . Look under the subbed Sagem box, does it say ITD on the label?

 

Shit yeah its says ITD60 CHORUS, christ i tought i was on cable...

 

Nope sorry Try a Box T or Eurovox TX or any other DVB T device.

The Box T is been discontinued by the main distributors by the looks of things. The TX can be bought anywhere try fleabay. Where did you get the SV4 they may do an exchange. If you let me know I will tell you.

 

bubble boxes, but just saw eurovox not available until end of oct there, got a mate gonna take the sv4 anyway just gotta find stock on eurovox tx, must say your posts are class picked up a lot in the last week about dvb from this site, if only i saw one about sagem ITD i would have saved a lot of time

If we had known the above earlier perhaps you could have been sorted earlier!!!
