Hi lads just got the starview 4 usb. Downloaded the latest files. When I stick in the usb stick into the pc there are folders on the stick already. Do I need to put the firmware into a specific folder or just anywhere. Thanks
menu....usb.....on the box...then select what files you require, and tick ok and then scan auto...hope that helps..
Will emu only appear after the scan because its for someone else. I have no cable but when I do 1570 theres no emu in the menu
ryt see when ur setting it up and you turn it on you should have to select a language, when u do that it will go to the scan select your provider then automatic scan, then when the scan is finished exit to menu then press 1570 and you should see the emu key turn it on then exit to channel and let it update.
You will only be able to access the Cas System menu after the box has been flashed, before that there is no way in the world that you can get into the Cas System, also you will not find it named Key Emu, it will be down in the secret menu as Keycode, this is what needs to be turned to ON. A little pussled as to how you are attempting to set it up/scan etc. for someone else without having a live cable feed, quite simply put - you can't, unless you are referring to being at their gaffe whilst setting up.
Hi Malci , "gaffe" now theres a word that I havent heard in a long time, brings back some good memories
scouser is there a way to permantley turn the voice of that speaks when your watching the soaps etc?? i no u hit the audio button to turn it off,but if im watching itv or something it will start so i hit the audio button and turn it off,it goes off but if i turn over the channel 5 minutes later to a differnt program itl start again and then youve to do the same with the audio button.
hi lads do starview 4usb work on chorus mmds in ireland i read they work on all cable providers no matter where you are in uk and ireland thanks......
Nope, not on CH*R*S MMDS, N*L yes, got to be CH*RS cable, will work anywhere in UK as long as there is a CC provision available simply because there is no MMDS in UK.
