hey ppl i need some help.i;m in waterford on what i think is n*l mmds. i have a starview 4 but am getting no signal on my starview. i.v put the cable into the cable input socket and also the antena input socket but no joy.the coax cable is going into a black box with a cable coming out of that into a upc digital box and a scart from that to the telly.i was under the impression i didn't need an mmds box for n*l mmds

cable from cable supplier direct into the box in the cable input socket,no aerial cable insertion required....if you do not get signal, then either you have no cable signal entering your house or your not subscribed to cable...on remote press sig button and see if there is a signal....regards

@lou MMDS is a wireless system so they cannot exactly cut off his subscription LOL a bit of reading goes a long way here.

@adam, yes you plug the coax into the cable RF input as they use a DVB C variant.

Is the power insertor, (what you call a black box), plugged in and powered up?

everything is plugged in even if i come out of the cable output on the upc digital box and leave everything else as it is i still get no signal.a friend of mine is in a different area with the same cable and he can't get his starview 4 to work either but i've been told the starview three will work. i'm totally confused.
