i bought a star view 4 from a guy in the gym, worked fine up til couple weeks ago. now many of the channels have been scrambled. the box did not come with any instructions cables or box, and the guy promised to update the box but now he has vanished !! can any one help please ?
bro,you need to give more detail before anyone can help you,like your location?,who is your cable provider?
Sorry new to this I'm from Mansfield in Nottingham and my cable provider is virgin hope this helps feel so useless lol !
it is a common problem channel movement of frequency,do this,factory reset 0000 to erase all channel data,when box reboots,select your provider from list,if you have any splitters on coaxial cable remove first,auto scan,named channels will come up while scanning,when finished exit out and on remote press menu1570 and put keycode to enable and exit out.
HIm8 try software 1.10 this will soulve your problom. i hopethis will help you. if not come back to me.
advisor2 why are you directing folk to use V1.10 firmware? when all is required is a simple re-scan of chans? if a freq change happens, which has happened, then a simple reset and re-scan will fix it. you dont need to flash anything
