hiya got a starview 5 box an wondering how it works thought i wud just plug it in put 1570 in an all the channels would work but its not working can any1 help me plz?
You will need to put Firmware on to the box (Flash) your box - at the moment you will only have FTA Firmware on it, it is pretty straight forward so go to this thread and have a read of the first page, and make sure that you get the up to date Firmware, you will find it there. http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f-59/starview_5_mk_2_usb-801538/
i'm thinking of getting a starview 5 as the last box i got for a friend was the eurovox ex1100usb and i have nothing but problems. so could some one advise me if this would be a good alternative or i was maybe thinking of the starview 4. they will be for a friend so i don't want a box that i'm going to have to keep going round to sort things out for them. any advice would be greatly appriciated. Also is it worth buying any new boxes at the moment if N3 is coming. any idea when this will happen in the northeast on vermin
