hi newbie here hello everyone iam having trouble linking rs232 cable from router to starview7 box its saying not connected can anybody help

 

You do not connect the box to your router using that cable you only use an ethernet cable.

 

i have a 9pin to ethernet cable which is not connecting

 

ethernet to ethernet

 

Just put one end of your ethernet cable into the back of your box and the other end into the back of your router.

 

i think he has usb to r232 by the sound of it. he needs a proper ethernet cable, which i know your saying fella

all items needed box-rs232 cable-adapter/dongle-cat5/lan cable to router
if any items differ it may not work,was the box new or second hand.
