hi just updated my starview 3 with 8.02e all went ok with the download from my pc when i plugged it all back in to my tv i selected the language, auto scanned it and turn emu on then went to sly sports 3 which came on straight away. my question is is it meant to come straight on or do you normaly get an update message? also how can i check if the downworked properly without waiting till it goes off again. cheers
the normal outcome after upgrading the software,and in particular in this instance is as follows:- if you just upgrade/update the software,do a scan etc and move to sky sports1,2 or 3,an auto update should occur,and will do so 3 times...on the 3rd attempt you will be up and running smoothly...if you get freezing or static channels or 'channel changed' on the screen,then its best to check to make sure you have the right software loaded and then factory(important) and do scan again..should be fine that time around....hope that reassures you...
Sometimes the channels will come straight back on. if you want to check the download will work change one number in one of the codes (but remember to take a note of the original code in case it doesn't work. It should auto-roll.
No you could have been lucky.. sometimes it clicks in straight away other times it takes up to 1500% did you download it correctly?? the easiest thing to do is Menu 1570.. default.. EMU ON..exit back to SS3 and if its there its done...
when i did it i never press default keys before. so i went ack in to the menu pressed default and then put emu on now it is showing data updating but its keeps going up to 120%/140% without coming back on do i need to download the firmware again and redo everything or does it take a while to update if so how approx
