i have a starview box 1 and my mate got the the sv box 3 firmware updated in his sv1.how or where would i go about that please?
lol.not making this easy, sorry my mate got the software thats in a starview 3 box in his starview 1 box,how would i go about that.thanks
still none the wiser?has your mate got a starview 1? or 3? has he loaded the wrong firmware?and how would you go about what?
ok you can get a starview 1,starview 2 and starview 3(the box super) when you put them on they all have different set-ups the starview 3 also fixes itself and the channels are in order my mate, who had trouble with his starview 1 took it to to someone who updated it.its now the same as a starview 3 ,his starview 1 now refixes itself, and if you didnt see his starview 1 unit, you would think he had a starview 3. is that any better?
you can put new firmware on your starview 1 box to ensure it autorolls if thats what you mean, basically all three boxes are the same but all use different firmware,so it would be impossible to use starview 3super firmware on a starview 1 box,if what you are looking for is firmware to enable your box to autoroll when there is a code change then we can help you.
I think what he means is someone updated his box with rolling firmware and loaded a channel file to it for the Favourites and channels in order, Is this what you mean? Where u based?
im in glasgow yeah that sounds right the way you have worded it,when you switch his starview 1 on,it looks like a starview 3. (the on-screen set up and layout) how do i do this to mine?any help would be great
Then its one of two things, the inside is not a SV 1 but a reworked SV3 in a different case or the person who done it for him has opened the firmware, but I can stand corrected on this, not sure it can be done. Thats just my opinion as a SV1 can not run SV3 firmware unless either the box was modified or changed out, as the SV3 firmware will brick the Starview or THE BOX, like putting petrol in a diesal engine.
yeah i couldnt get anyone who knew of this the guy moved away or id have took it to him theres another guy says he can do this, ill see him soon hopefully if so,ill let you know what he done if you like thanks again
yeah sure, I am just thinking he may changed the EPROM in the box also, but a bog standard SV1 would not even load up using SV3 firmware, it would brick it. So its either a reworked SV3 in a Sv1 case or the firmware has been hacked
hi,sorry to be a pest, turns out his box doesnt say the box super when you turn it on although the channels are3 all in order and it fixes itself when it goes down,is that possible?
ah, what your talking about is autoroll firmware which rolls the keys, the channels are in order as this is a file loaded onto the box thats all, when the channels move, they wont change, only the Arnet and the SV 3 does this automatically. I was wondering when you were saying that it had SV3 firmware,
does roll the keys mean i wont need to look for codes anymore, the box automatically sorts itself? where would i get those peices of firmware? thanks
yip, found here http://www.4shared.com/dir/3042613/f6e3421c/sharing.html if you have Starview 1 and you dont know if you have a clone box or not, load cryptstar 2.57 on it wokrs for clones and genuine box's, there is a how to there also.
hi just wonderin a friend gave me a starview 1 but its not the same as mine all the things at the back are on the other side would i be right in sayin its a clone
Count the vents on top 18x7 = Clone 25x7 = Genuine 13x7 = 1st Generation Also looking from the front Scart to the left = Clone Scart to the right = Genuine http://www.freewebs.com/dooby2oon
