Hi all, I just updated to 4.54 on my box and 4.00 with cryptstar on my starview genuine about a week ago. It updated fine but now it sticks on 0%. Can anyone in Ireland just write down your keys first cause after you set the default key i dont think it will update so just have the latest keys handy. So if anyone around ireland can test if their boxes are autorolling since last night. Saturday night it was fine. this morning not so fine Thanks in advance. S
why are the boxes sticking on 0%. how come they can't update. It's very annoying. does anyone know working starview 3 versions nthell that update since last night and don't stick on zero.
it might be annoying but all you can do is wait for new software. The main advantage that starviews, eurovox's etc have is that nthell cant do anything too drastic because their paying customers old nthell set top boxes can't be disturbed either. So give it a week or two and fingers crossed a cryptstar 1.5 comes out or a starview/box update comes out. Also its ok for yourself but i hope the box programmers don't get greedy and say the new update is only for the supers and not "the box original"
folks sticking on 0% update no big thing, to fix go to a new channel say 66 wait 15 secs to see if it works,once the % moves let it run,or u can power off box then on works.
i think 6.00 will work on the box original. its identical even the insides are the same. but people are saying it won't work on the box original. all you need is boot ver 8.0 i think. ps i fixed my auto update. sometimes they stick on zero and you just change the channel but mine would not leave zero, i was trying everything and in the end manually entering the codes and turning it off and back on with the switch then defaulting the key worked and it updated.
EACH STARVIEW HAS ITS OWN FIRMWARE IF U USE WRONG ONE U MIGHT END UP WITH A DOOR STOP SO THAT IS WHY IT IS SO VITAL TO IDENTIFY YOUR MODEL AND MATCH UP WITH SAME FIRMWARE!
SV3 is the same as any other Starview if it is stuck in a loop just press the default key in the CAS menu and exit to Sly Sports and it will update.
