Hi my box is about 18 months old(not a clone ). It just basically died on me yesterday. When I switch it on/off at the back a few numbers flicker then one zero or nothing shows on the box. The screen on the tv is black and there's nothing from the remote. I'm not great with these things but I'm assuming that its broke. Time to buy a new box or is there anything I should try first.

In the link I gave you is a picture to explain how to replace the faulty capacitor on the power supply board. That is the cause of your problem. BTW the picture says replace it with a 10V cap, please use a 16V cap as that is whats required, Martin has to update the pic.
Found it, thanks for the help, again I'm very ignorant with this stuff. so basically I need to buy a 16v cap on eebay and follow the instructions ? thank you again
