Starview Box- Dropping Channels

Just a quick one,

I've had my starview box now 8 months with no problems

Over last couple of weeks it's started dropping channels

Channel 4, E4, E4+1, Sky 1, Sky 2, MTV no name a few

They come up as "scrammbled channel/ bad channel"

So I deleted them and then re-scanned for them but they aren't being found

Any idea how I get them back?

You will need to do a "factory reset" and then scan the channels back again. Its the only way to get them back.

 

I thought that but when I scan at the moment it keeps finding the same 34 channels.

Could a setting be off when I search channels and thats why it wont find them?

If I do have to reset back to factory settings, will I have to programme it again or will that just reset all channels?

 

It just resets all the channels. You will loose any folders you made, but it has to be done.

 

Just "factory reset" the box

Scanned again and all channels are back

Only prob now is have to sort them again, ah well

has anyone got a master code to the factory reset majority of thev channels have dropped and only showing 'scrambled or bad channel,' channel reseting but this goes upto 125% any ideas

 

I pressume its a starview box you have ... try 1570 to get into the menu then either 0000 or 1668....
Is your EMU turned ON???

Could you please tell me where to find the emu because i am all stressed trying to locate it and ive lost my instructions for the box super.Many many many thanks before i go mad and stick hot needles in my eyes.Kenny

 

menu, 1570 on remote it will bring up another menu and emu should be there,

 

once your on the main menu, press 1570 and you will see emu on bottom

 

Brilliant! i turned on the emu and ive scanned the channels on ntl network and got 445 channels then i pressed exit and guess what? it wont let me view the channels on any subcripion channels.Am i bieng a Proper **ck and doing something wrong or is this box super trying to drive me towards suicide.Please can you help before i think of opening the loft hatch.Many thanks kenny

 

go back into the secret menu and press default key button ensure emu key is on and then go to a s*y channel eg 511 it should then start updating....... hope this helps
