starview box has blew up

my mate flashed me starview 1 i think. worked for a bit then no power supply no lights cum on has the board blown or the fuses what shalli do and who shud i askcheers ppl

 

what did he put in it?could be a cap issue inside box,where u would need to look inside with it unplugged.

 

ive checked inside the box the caps dont look burnt c11 and c21 look ok do u think it cud just be the fuse its a 1 amp1 let us no cheers

 

1 amp too small are u using a shaving adapter as they come with 1 amp fuses,u can get adapter plugs to use with 2 pin plug,or change to a 13 amp plug with a 3 amp fuse fitted.

 

yeah its a shaver plug an a english adapter with 1 amp fuse can i just put 3amp fuse or 13 amp 1 in

 

no 1 amp fuse is smaller for safety.

 

ive just been lookin my box is starview1 clone i dnt no if my mate flashed it with right program or not what shud i do cos no power cums bk its dead shud i just bin it let me no please

 

for the moment put a plug on it and see if it powers up as shaving adapters dont work

 

so shall i take the two pin plug off an wire up 2 a 3 pin english plug then

a three pin plug.and if that fails go looking for info on j tag on this site,someone else will tell u how to do it,or google search stairview j tag.

swapped plugs over nothin cums on but ur cann hear little power surge by the caps 21 an 11 so it cud be them cheers nearly gettin there lol
