I have just purchased a starview box and im sure the questions im about ask have been asked million times already. I have searched the forum already but to no avail.

    1) Will my cable tv provider be able to tell which channels im am watching throught the starview box?

    2) If they can tell will they cancel the contract?

    OR

    3) Is there any way to stop them knowing which channels i am viewing?

    Any help appreciated.

Hi, I have read the same question recently on here and from memory the answer is NO your cable company can't see what you are watching through your starview box. On you telewest or ntl box they are able to see what you are watching because it has that facility built into the boxes. Starview does not. I would however reccommend that you keep your original cable box connected at all times and connect a splitter to feed you starview. Otherwise your set top box will disappear from their network and that may raise suspicion.
