Vicky.. without stating the obvious, when you say no power, are you getting any reading at all on your box?
is it turned on from the plug? and at the back of the box? then try changing the fuse, might be something as simple as that.
i have done all that it was woking it sudenly all went off evrythig is off when i plug it in nothing no lights it does not turn on at all plz help

Hi Vicky, this is were it gets all technical.......thats why I suggested to bring it back!!! Capacitor: If you look at a catalogue of electronic components you'll find an enormous variety of sizes and types of capacitor. However, for most purposes we can divide capacitors into two basic types:- dielectric and electrolytic. A capacitor acts as a charge store. It contains a pair of metal plates separated by a thin sheet of insulating material. Left to themselves the plates are electrically neutral - the number of positive protons in each exactly equals the number of negative electrons. However, if we connect wires to the plates and apply and external voltage we can drag electrons off one plate and push them on to the other. This takes energy, i.e. we have to do work charging the capacitor. The result is a capacitor with one plate positively charged and the other negatively charged. The energy used to move charge is stored by this imbalance. If we connect two plates together with a resistor, the electrons 'rush back home' releasing their energy again. The voltage between the plates of a charged capacitor is proportional to the amount of charge moved. The charge/voltage ratio for any specific capacitor is called it's capacitance.
hi again do not buy anything from cableandsat i have sent them lot of e-mail no one has re-plied there are a con buy there stuff send u a e-mail strait away with ur order something goes wrong they dont want to no
without sounding silly, but,is your box plugged into a adaptor plug? if it is, have you checked the fuse? as they are only 3 amp fuses in them and if you got a surge it will pop, if you have a normal 13 amp plug on it, did you check that? have you tried anything else in the socket it was in? Did you try a different socket>?
hi i turned my starview 3 super on it worked for a hour then it turned off what can be the cause of this by the way still no anser from cableandsat
It is a common problem rebooting, check what firmware you have on it, if it is 8e_E then try 7.09e_E even revert back to 6.01e_E if necessary.
