Starview box wont work please help

hey, i have a starview box its about one year old, its not a clone. its been working fine apart from the odd channel missing now and again until about 2 hours ago. every channel went blank or scrambled. I checked the emu was on alright and tried the obvious turing it on and off. I then found some other site which told me to do a factory reset but still no joy. Ive tried another site which told me to change the keys 00 and 01 but that also has had no effect, can anybody please help? thanks

 

did u do a factory reset,0000 to delete,english power off box for a min/on english,instal.select provider and autoscan,channels found,exit out,menu1570,key emu to on,exit out.
if codes change and box does not autoroll,that happens.

 

yep ive just tried it again with no luck

 

Press menu and system info and post what it says. I presume you havent updated the firmware?

Try this & see if you get your channels back.
menu, 1570
go to "set default key"
press ok, Exit to s*y sports & let it update.

 

ok ive just tried that and it brought me back to the main menu and then back to the select language menu, No channels. would it be something to do with changing the keys 00,01?

Sounds like you`re going to have to flash it. Is it definitley SV2 "The box" you have?

 

I dont know how do i check that out?The unit just says ""the box" on the front.

yea i have tried that a few times. after the scan it says 0 programmes found. any more ideas?

do u have coaxial going into cable input? yes,are u sure u are scanning on right provider,if not 0 channels found

 

Yeah its wired alright and im scanning on ntl as im in dublin city centre, still no joy

 

I think you`re going to have to flash it.
If you`re in Ireland use the 4.50
In the uk use 4.51
you`ll find all the Firmw@re & loader in the "st*rview the b0x" folder in eamos library, here

go into nagravision & make sure your provider ID is 54 01

 

who flashed ur box before?and u r 100% sure coaxial going in to cable input,straight from wall to box?

 

ok its id is 54 01, the box must have been flashed when i bought it off some guy i used to work with, and i just ran a continuity test on the cable and its fine and connected.
