My box has gone off and all that is displayed on the front is 0. I have turned it off and on and it searches for a channel, goes onto 0001 then switches back to 0 and the screen freezes.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Its a hardware fault.

1.Remove the cap (c21) electrolytic near the ribbon on the psu board.
2.Boot the box , it should boot to on and function correctly , the psu will hum ignore it , just let it boot to ON ,then turn it back off.
    3.Replace electrolytic cap (c11) 1000 mic @10v on the psu board , resolder (c21)
    thats it done.

You can get caps from Maplins they can also be found on fleebay item No 110091935709.

If anyone can rustle up a 'how to do' with pictures regarding this fault, then i'd be willing to give it a go. Shame to bin it before at least attempting to fix it.

Unbelievably I have got my box back up and running. Thanks to Celtic for his advice, 1 other thing is that the electrolytic at C12 was also dead so I replaced this as well. Total cost £1.56
